Word Youth Day 2008
MAGiS08 is the MAGiS program at World Youth Day in July 2008 that builds on previous Ignatian programs at WYDs in Paris, Rome, Toronto and Cologne.
This program offers a series of gatherings focused on making the World Youth Day experience more personal and yet more for others.
MAGiS08 will help young people from around the world reflect on their experience here. It will allow them to meet poor and marginalized people. We hope that as they read their own hearts and see the world in a new way, they will deepen their relationship with God. This was the way of Ignatius of Loyola.
The second portion of the MAGiS08 program is a three day gathering, where everyone from experiments around Australia and Asia will come together to celebrate the journey traveled so far.
We will rest and rejuvinate, pray and celebrate, and continue on our journey. MAGiS08 will ensure a grand gathering at St Ignatius where you will also continue to stay through out participation in World Youth Day.
The beautiful school grounds, with a spectacular "river view", lends itself to an exciting three day festival with plenty of room for spiritual growth, outdoor fireworks and even indoor swimming!
