This 60 minute documentary film celebrates the more than four hundred years of Chinese Catholic history and was shot and produced in 2009 by two Jesuits, Jeremy Clarke SJ and Jim McDermott SJ. Carrying a camera, a tripod and not much else Jeremy and Jim travel the length of China, retracing the footsteps of Ricci and the other pioneers of the early Chinese church, visiting famous cities and such sites as the old Jesuit observatory and the cemetery where Ricci was buried. The film is both a record of those days and a reflection on the amazing journey of the Chinese church over these past centuries. The director and producer, Jeremy Clarke SJ, will introduce the film.
